Night Photography

I love the contrast of a brightly lit buildings against the black night sky. Recently Amanda and I found ourselves driving around our hometown in the middle of the night. While driving around I found several rather unique things that I probably wouldn’t have paid much attention to in the daytime, but the way the buildings were lit really gave them a unique look that grabbed my attention. Unfortunately she forgot to grab her camera, and although I knew I had mine, I didn’t want to leave her out. I debated for a while, but ultimately decided to double back around and try to capture the things I had seen… the way I had seen them. I offered to share my camera with Amanda so that she could take some pictures too, but she didn’t seem too interested… I think she was getting her amusement from watching me lay on my back in the middle of the street at three o’clock in the morning. These are a couple of photos from that night that just didn’t seem they would fit into a post all on their own.

Thanks for the compliments, we both appreciate them. 🙂

As far as equipment goes we’re both using Nikon D3200’s right now, with the standard 18-55mm kit lenses, noting too out of the ordinary. 🙂
